Ana Julia Gómez
General coordination
Born in Argentina. From the humid pampas, she is educator and
strategic communicator passionate about conservation and inclusive development in a healthy environment. She has extensive experience in implementing initiatives for conservation and sustainability. She’s been responsible for education and public use areas in various
protected areas. She was Regional Vice-chair for Mesoamerica and South America of the IUCN Commission on Education and
Communication (CEC) (2015-2019) and is member of the COM
#MujeresEnConservación LAC team. Teacher. Consultant

Maria Murillo Elizalde
Co cordination
Originally from Argentina.
Teacher, editor and writer. Educator and specialist in public policies for children.
Experience in environmental education and training of trainers.
She currently works as co-coordinator of the artisan publishing house Ginebra Editorial, trainer at the higher level and member of the management team of this initiative.
Passionate about books and the revaluation of the cultural heritage of our America.

Gabriela Gehlen Leite
Co Coordinación embajadoras/es y alianzas
Brazilian biologist, environmental manager, and agroecology technician. Works as an environmental consultant for organizations and projects in sustainability, climate, conservation, and environmental education. A dedicated activist for socio-environmental causes, passionate about the Caatinga biome in the Brazilian semi-arid region, where currently based.
Engaged in the MaB/UNESCO Program, serving as co-coordinator of the Youth Network of the Caatinga Biosphere Reserve and general coordinator of the Youth Network of Biosphere Reserves of Ibero-America and the Caribbean (IberoMaB Youth). Previously an ambassador for the Celebration between 2021 and 2022, believing in the initiative as a tool to highlight and foster local actions aimed at a more just and environmentally balanced society.

Aaron Ivan Hoyos Gonzales
Information Management Officer
He is an Environmental Engineer and a student of the Master's Degree in Biodiversity Conservation at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Since 2020, as part of the management team of the Celebration of Protected and Conserved Areas in LAC, he has been promoting the visibility of key actors in conservation. Passionate about wildlife monitoring as a tool to protect ecosystems from threats such as habitat loss and climate change, he combines experience in GIS, remote sensing, and environmental monitoring with field experience as a volunteer park ranger and intern in nature reserves in Peru. His commitment, creativity, and collaborative spirit make him a professional who brings together science, community, and nature for the sustainability of the region.
